Family Living Space Re-Vamp

Living Room/ Dining Room/ Kitchen Re-Vamp

So after I got the majority of the house done and the holiday chaos was over, my plan was to go back  to fix a few things that were bothering me and add a few more upgrades to the downstairs family living space. But then.....

Then my husband was offered a job and the offer was one we just couldn't refuse. So after much guidance from the big guy upstairs, we came to the decision to move our family yet again.

I made a few changes and sort of staged the house for showings a little. I still wish I had been able to upgrade the floors but I was so happy with the little things I did. In an attempt to turn my frown (about the move) upside down, the Mr said we could get all new furniture. I do love what we currently have but who would say no to some new and fresh things!!

So here is my last homage to this place we've called home for just a short 9 months, the home we became a family of 5 in, the home I sacrificed countless hours of sleep for, the home I poured my blood, sweat, and tears into, the home that ultimately made me more creative then ever and a better designer. My only hope is that another family enjoys it as much as we have, and becomes a home full of laughter and memories to them as it has to us!

  1. I'm new to your blog and am loving everything I see so far. You have such a talent for creating beautiful spaces! On your white slipcovers, do you find them hard to keep clean? Where did you find the ones in these photos?

    1. Hey Brittany! Thanks for your question!! They really are the BEST couches to keep clean for families! They are so easy to take off, wash, bleach, spot treat, or spot clean! We have had them for 5 years and have 3 little ones and they still look amazing! Mine are the Ikea Ektrop ones and I would highly recommend them!
